The intake call is the diagnostic interview itself, so you will learn something about your positioning whether or not we work together. It is with the economic buyer, because the archaeology of how you got here is half the analysis.

How the hour runs

0–5
The frame. One minute on how this works, stated plainly: an engine runs your business through the core body of positioning thought and tries to kill every route; I judge the output and make the call. Your documents are processed through that system, so you tell me now what cannot leave your walls.
5–18
The archaeology. What the site says you are, who wrote it, what it replaced, and what you almost chose instead. The rejected ancestors reveal the sacred cows.
18–30
The market as you see it. The rival named in deals you lose, the leader and its strength, what the buyer does if they pick nobody, and how hard they evaluate.
30–42
Your options. The routes you are already weighing go into the slate as labeled bets, tested with the same adversarial pass as mine. I capture each verbatim, with your conviction level and what evidence would change your mind.
42–52
The proof inventory. What you hold today: named referenceable customers, audited numbers, third-party validation. Not what is almost ready. This is the uncomfortable segment; it is also where the bottleneck usually is.
52–60
The trigger and logistics. The decision or date this work is for, who approves it, anything off-limits. Then document handover, the 90-minute working session booked with the person you report to invited, and the 30-day check-in noted.

BEFORE THE CALL
What to bring

The twenty-minute intake form, completed. A folder with your deck, site copy, win/loss data, prior research, and brand guidelines, whatever exists. The call spends judgment only on what the research could not fill.

AFTER THE CALL
What happens next

You get a written digest to confirm or correct. Then ten business days of engine time and my judgment. The bundle arrives: deck, report, working papers. Ninety minutes to pressure-test the call. Thirty days later, the tripwire check.

Two engagements a month. That is the honest capacity.
